Disability Services and Support

Osage County Special Services (OCSS) provides support in several key ways. Below is an overview of each service and how it may help individuals and families. If you are not sure where to begin, you can contact us directly with any questions.

Service

Targeted Case Management

Individuals who are deemed eligible for services through the Division of Developmental Disabilities are entitled to receive service coordination. Service Coordinators meet with individuals on a regular basis to assist with the goals outlined in the individual’s person-centered plan. Planning, advocacy, linking, and referrals to resources are provided to each program participant. Targeted case management is offered to individuals in Osage, Gasconade, and Maries counties.

Agency Funding

Not-for-profit organizations located in Osage County may apply for funding to initiate, enhance, and/or expand services for persons with developmental disabilities residing in Osage County. If your organization is interested in applying, please contact Osage County Special Services for more information about the funding request process.

Individual Funding

Individuals (or parents/guardians of minor children) with developmental disabilities who qualify through the State Division of Developmental Disabilities may apply for funding through Osage County Special Services to meet needs or cover expenses that are specifically related to their disabilities. This support is designed to complement — not take the place of — existing funding sources, including:

Connecting You to Resources

In addition to direct services and funding support, OCSS helps individuals and families connect with community resources. This may include referrals to programs and services, assistance in navigating available support systems, or guidance in accessing benefits such as Medicaid and SSI.
